Community practices in child protection. Examples of Brazil, Colombia, Peru, Ecuador and Nicaragua.
‘Community practices in child protection’ is documentary research on internet aiming at identifying and describing community practices on child protection in Brazil, Colombia, Peru, Ecuador and Nicargua. It was carried out between October 2010 and January 2011.
This study enables the identification and description of a significant sample of community practices in the matter of child protection, and better understanding of the national systems of child protection.
The research gives food for thought on the subject of the study and on new social, cultural and institutional realities with which the systems of child protection are confronted. Finally, it enhances other studies on community participation in child protection.
This document has been written in Spanish and a French and English translation are also available.
