50 years of Terre des hommes – Celebrations and charity concert on 7th August 2010

On Saturday, 7th August 2010, the world-class violinist and Terre des hommes Ambassador Patricia Kopatchinskaja gave a charity concert during the Yehudi Menuhin Festival in Gstaad to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the children’s relief fund Terre des hommes (Tdh). The opening address of this charity concert with its varied programme was given by former Federal Councillor Pascal Couchepin, a new member of the Tdh Board. The concert took place in the church of Saanen (BE), where the brilliant violinist Patricia Kopatchinskaja, accompanied at the piano by Polina Leschenko, enchanted an audience of 650.
