Burkina Faso - Emergency support for 600 victims

5 Nov 2009 Health and nutrition, Humanitarian crisesBurkina Faso

143 families and the 3 school partners of Tdh in the Pissy Quarries (Burkina Faso) suffered from the deadly floods that hit Western Africa last September. The Foundation provided for emergency support of food and school kits. The school fees will also be paid.
This intervention is in addition to the Foundation’s regular project that aims at protecting the children better. 132 children could, for example, stop working in the quarries in October. Thanks to Tdh’s intervention, the youngest will go back to school while the oldest will benefit from job training.
