For 50 years, day after day, Terre des hommes has been fighting in the field to permit children suffering from malnutrition to escape from the vicious circle of hunger, causing the death of nearly 11 million children under five every year. In the past two years, numerous factors have aggravated this situation dramatically: climatic disturbances (droughts, floods) as well as the food insecurity linked to the economic crisis.
To fight hunger in children and to offer them a decent future, Terre des hommes brings practical and sustainable solutions in 14 countries of intervention. Whether emergency aid for children with malnutrition in crisis situations, diet counselling for pregnant women and young mothers, or support for local communities, Tdh helps more than 780,000 children and mothers every year, around the world.
