Peru: Film – Give a second chance to young delinquents

In this 14-minute movie, film-maker Fabrizio Maniscalco (www.famani.net) shows projects run by Terre des hommes and the Encuentros association. A presentation of the situation in which young delinquents live, interviews with former gang members, this film shows the challenge of Tdh and its partners to help these youths escape life as a criminal. The film describes all this work, from the project implementation in 2005 to the measures to support the educational and social reintegration of adolescents: intervention with the government and communities, mediation with victims, integration in alternatives to imprisonment, such as job training, to ensure them a better future.
