September 13th – International Testamentary Day
13 Sep 2011 VariousSwitzerland
Making a will is something we all tend to put off until later. In Switzerland, just one person in three writes a will, although it is the sole way to express our last wishes within the framework of the law and is only possible with a notarial deed or a hand-written testament, signed and dated.
One year ago, sixteen public benefit organisations in Switzerland grouped together to make the general public aware of the possibility of giving a legacy to a beneficiary organisation. This coalition myhappyend.org is now joining up with Europe, Australia and Canada to celebrate International Testamentary Day on September 13th.
So that life goes on
In order that your last wishes are carried out, Terre des hommes has set out useful recommendations in two brochures. These brochures can be ordered free of charge.
