Terre des hommes was awarded the Crystal as prize for the best digital communication, in the presence of the World Economic Forum and other international NGOs in Berlin. In its social network, the game rewarded enabled more than 100’000 virtual oranges to be shared this year. 50 years of oranges sold to benefit children’s health has been mirrored digitally, with success.

From some 500 candidates from communications, Terre des hommes won the first prize in the category of non-governmental organisations. Over two hundred people took part in the gala award evening in the German capital. Yann Graf, in charge of social media at Tdh, received the trophy from the international jury: “The sale of oranges has made it possible for Terre des hommes to care for the world’s children for half a century. I am very happy that so many people contributed virtually to our buzz. This prize shows that a tradition can be refreshed and its public widened through the networks.
