Since the end of the 60s activity in Morocco has been focussed on basic or specialised (heart disorders) care to which a large part of the population has no access. After un careful examination and a social survey, the sick chid is looked after in the country when possible. If not they will be transferred to Europe, principally in Switzerland in University Hospitals in Geneva and Lausanne, but although in France and Spain.
Evry year, about 50 children suffering from heart disorders have operations in Europe, and 30 in Morocco.
In the area of specialised health care Tdh is developing a network of partnerships in Morocco working with specialist government health structures, while still continuing to help the most destitute children with operations abroad.
