Our intervention in Nepal
Children in Nepal are exposed to multiple protection risks, especially during and immediately after natural disasters. Tdh strengthens the capacity of local authorities, NGOs and civil society so that they are prepared to safeguard children from potential abuse, exploitation and trafficking in emergency situations. Similarly, Tdh runs child friendly spaces, temporary learning centres and provides educational and psychosocial support to children and families to overcome their traumatic experiences. Our experts also train the community in trauma management and establish village-level child protection mechanisms to reduce child rights violations through advocacy and support.
