This handbook published in 2012 is an updated and supplemented version of the Terre des hommes Foundation’s
2001 Project Cycle Handbook. The publication of the first handbook and its distribution were accompanied
by a series of training courses and by the implementation of an institutional learning and knowledge
management system. They jointly have contributed to good ownership of a reference framework and of
standardised methods for the organisation’s project planning and management.
