Innovation
Innovation and the digital transformation of our programmes are essential to adapt to an ever-changing world and to have significant impact in the lives of children. Whether it is to meet the basic needs of children, defend their rights or improve the efficiency of our activities, Terre des hommes (Tdh) is constantly seeking innovative solutions.
What we do in terms of innovation
Promoting the emergence of pioneering ideas

We convey a culture of experimentation by allowing Tdh teams to design and test solutions of the future through dedicated means and large consultation initiatives. Thus, we stimulate and support the emergence of innovations.
Identifying opportunities and committed actors

We constantly monitor pioneering technologies and possible applications for humanitarian and development purposes. We initiate high-level scientific partnerships to build research and development capacity in our projects. We support our programmes with a specialised team in technologies for development.
Supporting the most promising ideas with resources

We initiate the funding of pilot projects to enable the exploratory phases to be completed in order to develop functional prototypes. This allows innovation concepts with a high potential for further impact and dissemination within diverse Tdh programmes to be tested in real situations.
